In The News: Rod Rylander, one of our valued customers, was featured in an online article by Dwell. Turning our Tempered Glass, Faux Leather Naugahyde and Gym Flooring into the foundation of a sustainable, off-grid solar-powered home, demonstrating that dreams can be realized even on a budget. Like many of our customers, Rylander embodies the “repurposing” mindset: maximizing value and sustainability through creative re-use.

EXCERPT: He described himself as a hippie ‘without the haircut’ and says he understood, early on, that modern housing didn’t square with the environment or most folks’ savings accounts. He built underground houses with a twist, inventing a ‘vertical crawl space’ that keeps homes cooler in summer and warmer in the winter, with little to no HVAC. “I like to turn liabilities into assets.”
