BEFORE: Got in a big load of thick 7/8″ and 1″ diameter Crane Cable from a crane company.

AFTER: We sold a company about 5,000′ of thick 1″ steel cable to be used to pull down big grain elevators in a demolition project along the Mississippi River. Travis, we appreciate your business!

AFTER: These are the last two of the Qty 30 of these giant, 1,400′ coils leaving our warehouse that we originally took in. Yes, we successfully re-homed 42,000′ of this pipe that was discarded by a natural gas utility. These last two jumbo coils are heading to a Kansas farmer.

BEFORE: A major natural gas utility company in Illinois had some 4″ diameter new, unused polyethylene pipe “expire”. Yes, natural gas pipe must be installed and buried within 3 years of the date of manufacture for safety and liability reasons.

A Day in our Life: When you’re in the “get rid of it” business, you get contacted about all kinds of crazy situations.

Last Week: “Our excavator fell into a cattle manure pit. The cab is filled with bullsh*^, literally. Luckily no one was killed. Anyway, would you be interested in buying this non-working 2016 Kobelco SK170 excavator?” Rich in Pennsylvania

Special Guest: Jim Turnipseed flew in from Birmingham, AL to meet with our president, Damon Carson, and to get a tour of our facility. Jim’s business has some similarities to our business though he focuses on a very specific waste stream. Jim buys leftover, unused hangers and other structural connectors from manufacturers like Simpson, MiTek, etc. from construction sites all over America. He then re-homes the hangers with companies that can use them. Jim’s business – www.turnipseed.biz.

Q: Like Jim’s hanger business, do you know of other niche, surplus and re-use businesses? We’re always interested in knowing about other businesses that we share space with in the used economy. Email Us Details
