The Faces of RPM: Behind every load, every deal, and every “repurpose” is a team of blue-collar, hardworking people who built repurposedMATERIALS the only way they know how—through grit, resourcefulness, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves. This isn’t a company built in a boardroom, it’s one built in warehouses, yards, and job sites across the country. Leading that charge from the very beginning is our founder, Damon Carson, whose story starts much like the company itself—grounded, hardworking, and built to last.
Bio: Damon Carson and his wife, Traci, first crossed paths in Vail, Colorado—where their story began and quickly turned into a lifelong partnership. They later settled along Colorado’s Front Range, raising their three kids while building both a family and a future rooted in hard work and shared values. Now empty nesters, Damon and Traci stay active in their local church and dedicate time to mission work around the world. When they’re not giving back, you’ll likely find them cheering on their favorite sports teams or planning their next global adventure—most notably, a trip to Antarctica next year to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary and to step foot on the last remaining continent that they haven’t visited.

The Realities: For all those companies that want to keep stuff out of the landfill, there are some that still aren’t willing to spend $1 extra to keep stuff out of the dump. “The job is prevailing wage, so it is not cost effective for us to palletize and load the material. So, we’ll just be putting them in the dumpster.” – Nathan

Bird Dogging: “Maybe you are already aware but the City of Detroit & General Motors have decided to demolish two of the five large office towers of the Renaissance Center. Whoever does the demolition will likely have the opportunity to remove tons (literally) of materials available for ‘repurposing’ before the actual demolition takes place. I don’t know who or when it will be done, but thought I’d put it on your radar in case you wanted to look into it.” – David
Thank You: We appreciate all you ‘bird dogs”, like David, sending us emails and calling us with different situations like this Detroit demolition project where you think there might be materials that could be “repurposed”! Call Damon anytime at 720.615.0281 to discuss similar opportunities!

AFTER: “I incorporated these SPF Wood Timbers into our new 52’x30′ foot garage, using the 3″x7″ timbers as wall studs built on 24″ centers. I wanted to send pictures of the garage to you guys as yet another example of how upcycled goods are being ‘repurposed’ for another needed project.” – Norm
SAVINGS: “The SPF Wood Timbers I bought, dollar for dollar, were a HUGE value over sourcing the same size timbers locally, and they absolutely dwarf commercially sold at big box stores.” – Norm
BEFORE: These 3″ x 7″ SPF Timbers come from the disassembling of large oversize pallets that bring in industrial machinery from Europe.
Q: Like these heavy duty Timbers, do you have surplus materials coming from your operations that would be candidate for “repurposing”? If “yes”, Email Us Details!
